Ms Supriya Mani, Secretary, Indian Society of Community Health Nurse Specialists (ISCHNS) invited QMed to conduct a workshop for the members of ISCHNS. How did she get to know us? She had attended a workshop conducted by Ms Vasumathi Sriganesh at the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) in October 2012. The LTMMC also known as Sion Hospital conducted the 4th workshop for DNB students. Again there were 35 students today and my lecture was after Dr Supe's and Dr Mamta Manglani's. I went in during the last 20 minutes of Dr Manglani's lecture and while the contents may be more or less the same as usual, it is always a delight listening to her, as she weaves in life stories and keeps the students laughing often, so that they enjoy the sessions. Lotus College of Optometry, located in Juhu, Mumbai is in institution that is special for us. They had included our workshops - PubMed and later Reference Management in their PG curriculum - the Masters of Optometry course, right from the first batch! Every batch has eight students and this time's was an extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable one. In one hour I was able to teach them most of PubMed and in another hour almost all of Mendeley.
