After a heavy month of lectures and workshops in April, the month of May was spent on internal focus. We are very happy to welcome three new Trustees to QMed: –
1. Ms Anujaa Navaratnaa – a Librarian, who has worked in the LTMMC & Sion Hospital and later at CRISIL. She also has an MBA in Human Resources and has worked in that domain as well. Currently she is a freelance counselor and therapist, having acquired training in this area. She has varied strengths and we hope to harness a lot of them
2. Ms Usha Sunil – a Librarian who has worked with the University of Mumbai, the Foundation for Research in Community Health, ColourChem and the American Library. She later worked as Economic Specialist – Energy at the US Embassy
3. Dr Sandeep Bavdekar – a Pediatrician, who retired from TNMC & Nair Hospital as Prof and HoD, He has worked over 30 years as a clinician and medical teacher. He has served as the Editor of the Journal of Post-graduate Medicine and of Pediatric Clinics of India.
We look forward to strengthening QMed with the additional strength of these Trustees.
We conducted one workshop in May – in the Breach Candy Hospital. This workshop happened with the enthusiastic planning by the Department of Pathology and Microbiology. One of the doctors had done our workshop in 2014, and she got the support of the Head of the Department and the whole Research team, for organizing this one!
In May, we were awarded one new Badge for our Globalgiving Fundraising page – this was for being an “Effective Organization”. This is in addition to three badges that we earned earlier
